- Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics must be your main subjects.
- You need at least 60% marks in aggregate in these subjects, and at least 55% in each subject.
- You can apply through AEEE, through your JEE Main score, or both.
These are the criteria reported so far. The final rules, including the age limit and category relaxations, are in the official brochure, so read it before you apply.
5. AEEE exam pattern
| Feature | Details |
|---|---|
| Mode | Computer-based test (CBT) |
| Language | English |
| Duration | 2 hours 30 minutes |
| Questions | 100 multiple-choice questions |
| Total marks | 300 |
| Negative marking | 1 mark is deducted for each wrong answer |
Subject-wise questions (latest pattern):
| Section | Questions |
|---|---|
| Mathematics | 40 |
| Physics | 25 |
| Chemistry | 20 |
| Quantitative Aptitude | 10 |
| English | 5 |
| Total | 100 |
This follows the pattern used in the last cycle, which added a separate Quantitative Aptitude section. Amrita may change it, so confirm the 2027 pattern in the official brochure.
6. Preparation tips
- Give Mathematics the most time. It has 40 of the 100 questions.
- Do not skip the short sections. Quantitative Aptitude and English can be scored well with regular practice.
- Practise computer-based mock tests so that you are used to the screen and the 2.5 hour limit. Our AIYSEE Test Series is a good place to start.
- Attempt only the questions you are fairly sure about. Every wrong answer costs you a mark.
- Keep your documents ready (Class 10 and 12 details, photo and ID) so that you can apply as soon as the portal is open.
Important: This page will be updated when Amrita announces the last date, the phase-wise exam dates and the final brochure. Always confirm every detail on aeee.amrita.edu before applying.
